“Michi” 道 “ The Path
The moment you start pedaling, a path begins to form.
There may be a road someone has taken before you — you can follow it, or let a new one emerge.
You don’t need to create a path — just one push of the pedals, and your way unfolds.
On steep roads, you ride with strength to keep from falling.
On a gentle downhill, the road reveals itself without effort.
Someone is riding on the other side.
Will we meet somewhere along the way?
As you cycle through the trees, the great path of the earth appears.
The roads people have traveled or created now seem to intertwine, connecting across the surface of the world.
I want to keep discovering paths I’ve never taken.
When I’m on a bicycle, I can see them more clearly.
道。自転車に乗り、走り始めた瞬間に道ができる。先に誰かが通った道があり、そこを通るか、または新しい道を作るか。作ろうと思わずひと漕ぎすれば自分の道ができてくる。険しい道は強く倒れないように漕ぎ、緩やかな下り道なら何もせずに道が見えてくる。向こう岸に誰かが走っている。どこかで会うのかな？木々の間を自転車で走り抜けると大きな大地の道が現れる。みんなが通ったり作ったりした道は今、地上で絡み合って繋がっているように見える。まだまだ通ったことのない道を見つけたい。自転車に乗っているとそんな道が見えてくる。
