増田孝祐 

横浜生まれ、ニュージーランド国立オークランド大学美術科卒業、高野山真言宗の仏教僧侶。彫金、墨絵、緑青など 様々な手段で絵画表現活動を行う中、『自転車に関わる作品』を展開。妻である本保慶と共に自他の思想を様々にとらえる試みをしている。

Profile

Kosuke Masuda is a Buddhist monk of Kōyasan Shingon-shū from Yokohama, Japan. He graduated with a BFA from Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2004, and spent the following year training at Kōyasan to become a Buddhist monk. After completing his training in 2005, he also continued his work as an artist and exhibited his works at numerous spaces which included collaborating with magazines and bicycle companies. Kosuke developed works that related to bicycles while manipulating multiple techniques. While working in a variety of mediums such as metal engraving, ink painting, and patina painting, he has developed works related to bicycles. Together with his wife, Kei Hompo, he is attempting to capture the thoughts of himself and others in various ways.
